Construction of a Aboriginal Shared Learning Centre within the Dubbo College Delroy Campus. Hines Constructions worked closely with School Infrastructure NSW in delivering this project.
Initial work included demolition and site preparation. The shared learning centre features include an academic learning space, cultural learning space with kitchen facilities, staff study, meeting rooms and amenities.
External works included a dance circle, yarning circle, feature footpaths, new turf, landscaping which incorporated existing trees, a new driveway and rear carparking with entry.
The building was built within the existing school grounds which presented initial risks. These were evaluated and solutions developed that were put in place prior to construction commencing.
The project will be a great learning space for students for many years to come.
