Off the successful completion of the original 90 bed, Jemalong Retirement Village development in 2011, Catholic Healthcare engaged Hines Constructions in 2018 to complete an extension.
The extension included 36 new individual rooms with ensuites, upgrades to 6 common areas, renovation of activity area and café. Works were also completed externally which included renewal of courtyards, new pergolas and general landscaping.
Hines Constructions was also engaged to complete the infrastructure for stage 1, being 20 of the planned 60 lot development of Independent Living Units. Hines worked under a D&C contract for this project. Works included bulk excavations and filing, internal roads and kerb guttering. Hines were responsible for providing the connection and supply of all reticulation services, including water, storm water, gas, power and communications to each site. Hines coordinated the project to allow early hand over of the site to the housing contractor.
