Construct Only.
Hines Constructions was engaged by Kinross Wolaroi School to complete the construction of a new Metalwork building within the school grounds.
Construction included relocation of the existing metalworks equipment and demolition of existing building. The DA conditions imposed a high level of acoustic control to protect neighbouring properties once the building was operational, with the design including features such as 12mm FC sheeting throughout, absorptive panels to the ceiling, double glazing and mechanical plant lagging to parts of the ducting system. The building provides a significantly larger space for metalwork classes to take place and now in an arrangement more reflective of a live working environment. The specialised equipment was relocated, post completion, by the Hines team during the Christmas holidays and set up ready for classes to commence in 2022.
The metalwork building was the third project that Hines has successful completed for Kinross Wolaroi School.
