Design and Construct.
Hines Constructions was engaged by NSW Health Infrastructure and worked closely with Central West Project Management throughout the design and construction of the new purpose built Ambulance Station. The new building features administration area, relief staff quarters including kitchen, medical store room, plant service and wash facilities and all external works and landscaping.
Hines Constructions worked closely with Boffa Robertson Group throughout the concept design to final design phase of the building to ensure the client would be receiving the best possible building to suit their needs.
The project team completed the works within a 56 week program, which included a 6 week stop work period due to heritage and soil contaminated delays. Hines Constructions engaged a number of local contractors and suppliers to complete the project and appointed a local site manager to run the project who knew the area well.
Hines stimulated innovations on this project included the design change of the in-situ concrete detention tank into a precast unit to minimise site access issues as the tank was located across the only vehicular access road.
