Design & Construction
The project team, including the client and consultants worked collaboratively throughout the design and construction to produce a fantastic facility for the Inverell Community.
Works included demolition of existing pool, associated structures and partial demolition of the existing heritage amenity building. Construction of 8 lane 50m indoor/outdoor pool*, program pool** with water play equipment and splashpad, new front of house, reception/cafe, amenities, and associated external works.
*The 50m pool has a movable insulated boom and door to allow the indoor section of the pool to be used as a 25m pool during the winter season. (28m wide and 5m high hydraulically operated folding door which closes against the boom)
**The program pool has a moveable floor which could be positioned from zero depth to a maximum of 1.5m or split levels depending on the need.
