Hines Constructions was engaged by the Hilltops council to complete this project over three stages.
Stage 1 consisted of the demolition of the already existing amenities building at the Young Aquatic Centre site. Soon after stage 2 commenced which was the construction of the new amenities building. The building included administration area/entry, change rooms, public toilets, commercial kitchen and office space. Associated external works and landscaping was also completed. Works were completed over the course of 30 weeks.
Stage 3 included the construction of a new kid’s splash pad pool featuring pool water toys, plant room and external concrete concourse works. The works were completed within 16 weeks.
Hines Constructions worked well alongside the council to deliver a great asset to the Young community. The pool was completed in October prior to the busy summer season.
